Choosing a fork to merge

I believe the topic is at the point where we're merging @adrianvlupu's fork.
Does anyone have any objection to this or do we just move forward?

I will also merge commits from @stawirej regarding missing features from my fork first

Finished merging a version that includes most of the requested features. I would really like for someone else to check it out and accept it, so it doesn't seem so forced, preferably @RicardoNiepel seeing as it's his original repo.

After the merge, do we delete the release/1-0 branch and create a new releases/v1 as a new starting point?

We should never delete release/1-0 branch as people might be hotlinking to it. We should start getting ready for a v2.
