PotreeDesktop not working in a Desktop

Hello, I'm using PotreeDesktop on both laptop and desktop. It works completely fine on the laptop, however, it does not load any .las/laz file in the desktop. When I drag a file it gives me the conversion option and says the file is converted but it does not show any file in the viewer. It doesn't create file_converted folder like it says while converting the file.

I have windows 10 and using 12.18.4 NodeJS. Any help will be highly appreciated.

I have the same issue, in my laptop run OK potree desktop, but in my desktop I have this issue. I drag and drop a .laz file and potree can´t load and convert.

I am using potree desktop 1.8

Hello,
maybe you are missing vc++ redist.
install the lastest available https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe

you can confirm the issue by manually running converter :
\libs\PotreeConverter2\potreeConverter.exe path_to_laz_file -o targetDestDir

If vc++ is missing, interactive error will popup !
