Welcome! 👋
Discussions are a brand new feature for our community, and we're excited to take full advantage of them. There are a few categories that are available and should make it easier for everyone to get involved and find what they're looking for.
I'm looking for help!
If you're seeking support using or installing Pterodactyl check out the
Support
category which supports a Question & Answer format. By asking your questions here you're making it easier for targeted helpful discussions to happen, and making it even easier for people to find answers to that same question down the road.I have an idea!
Next level, dude! We love hearing all of your incredible ideas but we've long struggled to keep up with the demand, and GitHub issues are generally not a great place for them since we have to also keep track of all the other bugs. Plus, they're low visibility in the end. We're excited for this category which should allow you to really flesh out the nitty-gritty details of your idea and solicit community feedback before we try to make official moves on it.
I've created a third-party tool for Pterodactyl.
Awesome! We're excited to showcase the amazing things this community has made. Let the world know about your incredible API wrappers, immaculate themes, or next-level modifications that make Pterodactyl soar. Please, don't spam your commercial products here, you're welcome to link such products, but don't abuse this.
I want to help write guides.
Fantastic! We've created a special category for such things which should help us improve our core documentation by offloading more specific or edge-case scenarios into community maintained guides. PLEASE, please, please please please: take the time to write out a well thought out guide if you're going to do this. Lets avoid copy and pasting from the official documentation, writing one or two lines of random commands with no context, or linking to external sites. That doesn't promote discussion, and is likely to just confuse people even more.
