Question regarding merge in API search and links parameters

Hello,

I have a question regarding the use of headers and body parameters in API search and link JSON/dicts. Specifically, I'm wondering if these parameters exist only in the response or can they also be provided in the search rel.

If these parameters exist only in the response, should I discard them when merge is false or don't exist? Or should I keep them and assume that they are still valid and use them?

Any guidance or clarification on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
