Extracting SoftFloat

We are trying to use the softfloat module alone for our FPU verification. Is there a way by which we can compile that module alone and get an object file which inherently is a cut-down version of the tool. We are unable to find the dependencies, hence seeking for help. We just need a suitable Makefile to start with.
