Known Issue: Garbled Text in GMapsFX on Mac OSX

There is a known issue in the Java 8 JavaFX WebView on Mac OSX which is causing fonts to rendered incorrectly on some websites includes Google Maps. Since GMapsFX uses the JavaFX WebView component it is unfortunately affected by this.

Oracle has acknowledged that this won't be fixed until Java 9. http://bugs.java.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=JDK-8088205
