Crash happened here:

No idea how to repro. I did an rm -rf of my target folder (in this case, .cargo/target ), and the problem went away, so I can't repro anymore.

That is the error that I remember getting as well.

This is a known incremental compilation issue - I'm working on a fix in #91919.

For now, you can run cargo clean to clear your incremental cache.

@Aaron1011 another similar issue (#92105) mentions #91741, and another one I just saw (#92056) has a very similar backtrace.

Do you think these are related to that PR instead?

EDIT: never mind, I see you commented on that PR already.
