Just thought I'd drop in and post a link to theme developer guide to what changed in Ghost 0.4.

I'm trying to encourage as many theme devs as possible to upgrade to use the {{asset}} helper in particular. Without this change, your theme won't work when Ghost is installed in a subdirectory, and users may encounter caching problems.

Thanks 👍

Thanks @ErisDS! I'd read about the {{asset}} helper the other day but hadn't yet had time to dig in and implement changes. I am, however, humbled by the fact you stopped by to make sure I knew about the new features. Developer outreach is critical, as you well know. Thanks for taking the time to check in. I'll update Vapor to support the new features soon.

I'm afraid I'm sort of spamming GitHub at the moment :)

I completely understand that updating takes time. I just want to make sure as best as I can that theme developers are aware of the changes and the resources available to them like http://dev.ghost.org/ where I will try to provide useful information on a regular basis.

Absolutely. Personally, I don't consider that spamming at all. Keeping developers in the loop is an essential part of growing the product.
