1st,2nd and 3rd level Support engineer/IT guy and sysadmin. Turning things off and on again. Changing printer toner, setup networking, setup Active Directory/Kerberos, manage server room and backups, Audio/Visual for world class conferencing, CCTV and security infrastructure management.

Changed roles a bit to focus more on assisting with the transition of monolith applications into microservices and spinning up k8s with redundant network storage - on site and hybrid cloud. Software: Mainly C#.net, angular/typescript stack. Others had Python & React. Kong as API gateway/reverse proxy, Octopus deploy and some Ansible. First exposure to ELK stack.

EV battery farming space: Tasked with managing containerized and legacy systems. Automating CI/CD and implementing Infrastructure as Code. EFK stack and Prometheus in k8s were setup. Legacy: Postgres, java EE, Glassfish with 2-way SSL.

EV Charging space: Mainly tasked with taking existing DevOps to a no-ops setup. Included mostly AWS. EKS k8s, Jenkins, Nexus, Sonarqube, Cert managers, Terraform. Modern java stack with a lot of Python.
- IoT space: Azure heavy, distributed microservice architecture - completely written as code, mainly with Terraform. AKS k8s, various Azure services, Github, Github Actions and ArgoCD for full GitOps approach. VMWare Saltstack is used for config management, disaster recovery and nightly state. Highly redundant and reliable setup with various backups and rollbacks in place, replicated and distributed storage.
- Crypto space: Improve Developer experience by continuously improving the SDLC, using DevOps methods and tooling. Full GitOps stack mainly consisting of Gitlab, ArgoCD, k8s, and hand-picked Azure resources.
- Finance space: Assist in safe migration between private datacentre and AWS, focusing on Observability of the networking, infrastructure and application layers. Obtained deep understanding of NewRelic. Declared observability, using Terraform and Ansible to manage and orchestrate the state and deployment of config, dashboards and alerts. Learned more about IHS and Apache, IBM MQ, Fluent-bit, regex and manual log parsing, flex, java process monitoring, complex database queries, Site-to-Site VPNs and Transit Gateways.
