- Pepin Academies is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charter school that provides tuition-free education to students with identified learning and learning-related disabilities. - Our first encounter with Pepin was at their Tampa campus, where we had a chance to meet with one of the school's founders, Crisha Murray-Scolaro, who taught us the difficulties students with specific learning disabilities (SLD) often face throughout their school careers. - After learning about the long-term solutions Pepin Academies provides their students, we knew we had to get involved. -

- Often, kids with SLD struggle in schools that don't have the resources or full time programs to cater to their needs. - Those that are lucky enough to find schools that do, eventually graduate out as they move on to middle and high school. - In this environment, these kids are often susceptible to bullying, and with the schools lack of resources, their education can leave them unprepared for life after classes. -
