As per the OpenTelemetry documentation (https://opentelemetry.io/docs/specs/semconv/attributes-registry/service), service.group does not exist. Instead, service.namespace should be used for this purpose.

OpenTelemetryAutoConfiguration
andOtlpMetricsPropertiesConfigAdapter
