Teensy 3.1 has specific hardware support for quadrature decoding of up to 2 encoders. Should provide even better performance then the interrupt driven mode.

Will require a hardware change as the pins for the hardware decoding requires specific pins:

  • ENCXA 3
  • ENCXB 4
  • ENCYA 32
  • ENCYB 25
