Not all traffic is being redirected through proxy resulting in failures

Hello, we have a dependency on this package and we have a corporate proxy and firewalls that enforce that all traffic goes through the proxy. The npm proxy settings are correctly set and we can get all the other packages. Either this package or a dependency is trying to reach github.com on port 443 directly - not through the proxy resulting in a dropped connection and failure. Can anyone comment on why or how we can to remedy the situation? Here is a screencap of the error:
