[Bug]: Cannot access file on /sdcard

Problem description

I can see and r/w files on subdirs of /sdcard, however, not of /sdcard itself.
Directories are visible - but not files

What steps will reproduce the bug?

Uninstall Fdroid termux and install Play store version. Now I can't see files on /sdcard. I can, however, see directories and files in subdirectories.
I did give the app access to all media files.

What is the expected behavior?

Fdroid allows r/w of files on root of /sdcard
