Custom filed "Number" accepts special symbols '.', '-', 'e' and saves multi select incorrectly OR does not save it at all.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Create custom label "Number"
2. Choose Scope "All"
3. Choose visibility "Show in list" ,"Show in filter"
4. Create multi select for a custom field entering the following values:

• 1234567.89
• 1234568--e
• 456728--6578

Expected behavior
UI validation displays an error with the text what values are acceptable in the field
