How do I connect existing database to this project?

Hi,

I am sorry if my question is silly, but I have little to zero knowledge of this, and I am learning. Hopefully someone can help me out.

My question is:
How can I connect to my existing database without requiring a command to run the website later on the actual server?

I tried some ways but I just don't know what I was doing. Please ask if you don't understand what I mean.
