Tabs Aside 2.* is now deprecated, check out version 3.
- active sessions (see below)
- browser action badge showing the number of active sessions
-
keyboard shortcuts
Alt + Q
andShift + Alt + Q
(thank you @JordyScript for coming up with these) - loading tab content only when tab is activated (this should improve performance, especially when restoring a lot of tabs)
- new sidebar layout
- one click session renaming
- sidebar context menus
- new Tabs aside icon (thanks to @Pinetrax)
Restoring a session makes it an active session. Tabs Aside tracks active sessions and updates the session automatically for events such as
- closing a tab
- navigating to a different page
- opening a new tab from within a session
You can set aside active sessions from the sidebar, from the browser action menu or via the shortcut Shift + Alt + Q
.
The new icon supports both light and dark themes, but for the latter has to be set manually in the addon options. There is also an option to set this automatically (just like the native icons) but for that you have to enable a specific browser flag.
