In the attached image, the north bog tile apparently contains a pressure plate, but it only says "bog" when I hover my mouse over it. The auto-explore path leads through this tile, and the auto-explore was interrupted by the "Step onto the pressure plate?" warning. This warning also came up when I tried to manually move onto the tile.
This happened on the latest official Linux release, using the Rapid Brogue variant.

I'm guessing the trap has been discovered by the player, but it's hidden by the bog tile on top of it. For the purpose of displaying the level, traps should probably take priority over any other terrain in situations like this.
