Autocomplete don't work when cursor to the left of character

Autocomplete don't seem to work if the cursor have a character to the right of it.

E.g. if you start by copying the source string the cursor will be at the beginning of the string.
Often there will be a character at the beginning so if you just start writing autocomplete will not work. You would have to add a space and move the cursor left for autocomplete to work.

I guess in right-to-left languages it will be different.
