Hello,

After discovering that this repository breaks my windows store, I decided I want to remove it.

How do I remove the privacy/security features or restore my windows store?

Thanks in advance :)

Thanks for your report. Microsoft Store is not supposed to break using this baseline, so I did some digging and found a potential reason. Can you try to make sure the "Windows License Manager" service is running and see if this solves your problem?

Open "Services" as Administrator, find "Windows License Manager service", right-click, select Properties, change startup type to Automatic. Then right-click again and select "Start"

You can also uninstall the entire baseline by running the Uninstall.ps1 script in the Utils folder.

Hey Troennes, thanks for responding so quickly. Apologies on my end, I've been quite busy.

I tried your above steps, and it seems that my microsoft store is still broken.

The store program crashes when I click into the app page that I am trying to install, if that helps illustrate the issue.

All right, can you give me some more information so I might be able to reproduce the issue?

  • Does Store crash for all apps?
  • What is the error message/code in Store?
  • Which Windows version and build number do you use?
  • Which level did you use with this baseline? Basic/High/ExtremePrivacy?
  • Do you use any other tools that modify registry or Group Policy?
  • Can you confirm "Windows License Manager" service is running when this happens?
  • Anything else that might be related?
