RPI 4B - Error is displayed in all Uis (Web local, Web Stremio.com, Windows App) when setting streaming url

Hi,

thanks for putting a running docker image together! :-)

I am trying to get stremio running locally to use a VPN for all the torrenting.

I have tried the configuration with and without https but whenever I set the URL for streaming in any of the clients, the status is displayed as error.

Clients tested:

• Local Web (from docker)
• Official web stremio.com
• Windows App

The port 11470 is open and reachable from the local network.
When I open that port in a browser I get my local stremio-web ui with the server adress preset.

What I have seen but don't know if this is releated, that the encoding tests fail at the very fist start of the container.
I am thinking if I need to mount a device for hardware accelleration or so, but this seems to no longer be supported by jellyfin.

Any Idea what to do ?

Hi,

I have never used it with VPN. I don’t know what is required. Check to see if server works without VPN first and then try to setup VPN.

thank you for replying :-)
I am unsure whar changed but after disabling and enabling the VPN, it worked.

Strange, since I did try to connect to the port from an other device before.

For reference: With VPN active, you may be need to allow (incoming) ports and or network addresses to be able to communicate with the Server.
