The company is extended into the future, by the phrase, "Company, on behalf of itself and its successors, transferees, and assignees (collectively “Assignee”), agrees .... "

But the inventor cannot pass on the rights they obtain.

I don't know if that is on purpose or not.

I think that's merely clarify (in case it wasn't abundantly obvious from all that comes afterwards) the intent that the promise is intended to run with the patent.

I was worried about the symmetry. For example, what if the inventor becomes incapacitated, or dies?

There's a clause at the end of paragraph 4 that addresses death, although additional thought could be put into this issue...
