Trying to predict the star review that a user gave based on the review text
Trying to predict abnormal star reviews (ie. accidental 1-star reviews for very positive reviews)-
Trying to detect when a business is about to close permanently
Trying to measure hype or business performance based on reviews
Trying to spot specific words/phrases associated with positive reviews to identify qualities preferred for a given location or restaurant type.
Trying to normalize restaurant reviews based on quality, convenience (Miku vs Togo)
Trying to split a given review (score & text) into scores for different attributes (would need detailed reviews).
Trying to predict the performance of a restaurant based on its location and proximity around certain businesses (restaurant near a marijuana dispensary, lol) or even planned urban development
Clustering users together based on the types of restaurants they like to go to (ie. review)
Predicting whether or not a review is marked as 'useful' (or cool/funny).
Find how much money a restaurant is making

Identifying if an image is visually appealing or not
Classification of images of food vs. restaurant vs. menu
Trying to find similar dishes at nearby restaurants (ie. for price comparisons, bar hopping)
