Invoice App Backend

Welcome to the backend repository of the Invoice App. This repository contains the server-side code and APIs that power the Invoice App.

Technologies Used

• Node.js: JavaScript runtime for server-side development.
• Express.js: Web application framework for Node.js.
• MongoDB: NoSQL database for storing app data.
• Mongoose: MongoDB object modeling for Node.js.
• JWT: JSON Web Tokens for authentication.
• TypeScript: Typed superset of JavaScript for enhanced development.

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/vishalbrdr/invoice-app-backend.git

2. Install Dependencies:

   cd invoice-app-backend
   npm install

3. Set up Environment Variables:

   Create a .env file in the root directory and configure your environment variables.

   PORT=8000
   MONGODB_URI=mongodb://localhost:27017/invoice-app
   SECRET_KEY=your_secret_key
   

4. Run the Server:

   npm start
   

   The server will start at http://localhost:8000.
