A lot of novels contain letters that are styled differently from the current text. Today e-mails and SMS have also been added, as they are part of our everyday life, and have replaced physical letters.
Blind people do not access the visual styling that signal these inclusions (through specific styles driven by CSS classes). While reading, they are missing a very important part of information. TTS would need a semantic attribute to inform them of this inclusion into the narration. No digital publishing ARIA role is available yet for this sake. Could we add 3 new doc roles in the standard ?
