I've just installed Slack from the Windows 10 App Store and am trying to install this dark theme.

However, I don't have a directory %homepath%\AppData\Local\slack\ and I'm struggling to find where Slack is. (I've tried searching all over for Slack and for the JS file I need to modify with no luck).

Any idea how I can find out where it's installed? It's Windows Store v3.3.3 64bit.

@mrgrieves4 You need to download the desktop app from this link, either the 32/64-bit one, not the Windows 10 store app.

Uninstall the current one you have, install the desktop one & you'll then find that directory.

Aha, thank you! I hadn't realised there was more than one app! Thank you, I've now found the file. I edited it and the sidebar is now styled correctly, but the messages area still has a white background.

Aha! Found this: https://github.com/widget-/slack-black-theme/issues/48

And it's now working! Thanks for your help

No worries, glad it's now working for you.

Just a quick FYI - I was having issues with all the different settings people in that thread were posting but found this repo from @caiceA to work really well. Highly recommended!
