Hi, folks!

It's great to see the significant expansion of the OQMD userbase in recent years. The database currently contains more than a million compounds (as of Feb 2022) and it's also expanding quicker than ever. Probably as a result of the two aforementioned growths, we also have an increased frequency of user feedback and emails requesting information on the usage of OQMD as a website, as a database, and as an API. Unfortunately, we currently have very limited resources to handle such a large volume of questions and feedback. Thus, it's time to turn toward a community support forum where folks can ask questions and also help out others - with a lesser reliance on the official OQMD email support.

The past, current, and future admins/users of OQMD will be present in this forum to help out with answering queries whenever we can. But we'd like to reiterate that the biggest contribution to this forum in terms of Q&As is expected from the general community.

To provide an initial momentum in the coming weeks, we will post some of the questions asked by users via emails over the years along with answers. Please feel free to add your questions and answers, if any, in the meantime.
