~~Just mentioning my workaround using negative ignores:~~

{
	"xo": {
		"ignores": [
			"!.*"
		]
	}
}

~~Or just the javascript files: "!.*.{cjs, js}"~~

EDIT: Do not do this as it will ignore other files.
