npm install failing on github repository

I've documented a lot of the details over at ehmicky/gulp-execa#2

Opening this issue as pacote is referenced in the log output 🙈

When running npm install gulp-execa npm will hang when trying to install the reference used for execa:

"execa": "sindresorhus/execa",

It continually retries the with the following log output

npm sill pacote Retrying git command: ls-remote -h -t git://github.com/sindresorhus/execa.git attempt # 2
npm sill pacote Retrying git command: ls-remote -h -t git://github.com/sindresorhus/execa.git attempt # 3

and so on..

I've read in a few issues this may already be fixed?

Is there anyway I can verify that?

I wasn't sure where the issue is, it could even be a problem with my local environment 😅
