Added Script for Excel to CSV Conversion

Summary

I added a Python script to convert Excel files (.xlsx/.xls) to CSV format. I also included a README that explains how to use the script and run the code. This script will be useful for handling Excel-to-CSV conversions for individual files and multiple sheets within a file.

Description

  • A Python script (excel_to_csv.py) that allows users to input an Excel file and convert it to a CSV.
  • The script also supports optional parameters like the sheet name if the Excel file contains multiple sheets.
  • A detailed README.md file that provides instructions for installing dependencies, running the script, and handling different cases

The changes are as follows:

  • Added the Python script to handle Excel to CSV conversions.
  • Created a README.md file that documents the script and its usage.

Checks

Tested the script with various excel files.
