Background

• An API that can return waste collection dates for your local council
• Works for every bin
• Uses Selenium for certain councils

Project Prerequisites

To be able to run this project you may need to install BeautifulSoup4 onto your pc if you don't have this already.

To install, navigate to your terminal in your chosen IDE (Visual Studio Code) and type the following:

pip3 install beautifulsoup4

This should now run successfully. If it doesnt restart your IDE and try again.

Adding a new council

• Create a new issue with the tag 'Council Addition'
• Make sure the council has not already been added
• include the council website
