The alternative solution you have provided is nice! I would suggest a little change. It would be better that user would enter two numbers together, like 243,587 and the programme will perform the task. You can use a split() to make the two numbers separate and put them into separate variables.
It would make the programme more advanced!

Note

The split() method is a built in function of python which can split a string where there is the specified character.
If you give example-string.split(",") it will return a list splitting the string where there is a comma.
