There is an error of missing dependency (setupextras to be precise) during the install of config2, I don't know if this would fix the error (since I'm not expert at building python packages) but I feel like there is a undeniable link with this PR !
If you could investigate that would be great !

The error is present for 0.3.1 and 0.3.2. The same thing happens with both python 3.10 and 3.8
At 0.3.0 there is no problem.
