New Group Member README

If you are a member o the group, it is good to have a web presence. The most important thing is to be listed as a member. To do this, you need to:

  • Create a directory with your name in ./content/authors.
  • Ensure that a file called _index.md is present. You can copy this from someone else, but then you need to go through every option to ensure that you didn't accidentally leave some of their information.
  • Update your details, such as your role and your links (website, e-mail, scholar, twitter etc).
    • For your user_group, select the appropriate group from the one listed in ./content/people/people.md.
    • For your role, if you are doing a PhD, add the month and year when you started. If you are a visitor, add your host institution.
    • When you leave, change your user_group to "Alumni", and your role to whatever your group was.
  • Add a photo of yourself by replacing avatar.jpg.
  • Upload your changes to a branch, and add a pull request. I will review it, and accept your changes.

To view the website, you will need to install hugo. Then you can run hugo server, after which you can view the website through localhost:1313
