If you are a member o the group, it is good to have a web presence. The most important thing is to be listed as a member. To do this, you need to:
- Create a directory with your name in
./content/authors
. - Ensure that a file called
_index.md
is present. You can copy this from someone else, but then you need to go through every option to ensure that you didn't accidentally leave some of their information. - Update your details, such as your role and your links (website, e-mail, scholar, twitter etc).
- For your
user_group
, select the appropriate group from the one listed in./content/people/people.md
. - For your role, if you are doing a PhD, add the month and year when you started. If you are a visitor, add your host institution.
- When you leave, change your
user_group
to "Alumni", and your role to whatever your group was.
- For your
- Add a photo of yourself by replacing
avatar.jpg
. - Upload your changes to a branch, and add a pull request. I will review it, and accept your changes.
To view the website, you will need to install hugo. Then you can run hugo server
, after which you can view the website through localhost:1313
