Also create a chromecast client wrapping this.

Any website can be cast with this application: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2377534/tutti.ch/chromecast/websitedisplayer.html

We may just copy the whole lot and add a bit of styling and host it ourselves (via github)

preliminary docs about chromecast:

Working with Chomecast

First you need to get a chromecast running, just follow the instructions

With chrome extension

  • Add the cast extension to chrome.
  • Navigate to the online version or to the url of your own hosted version.
  • Optionally open the control window (press c)
  • Activate the cast extension.

This approach sends video data to the chromecast. Hence it mirrors your own screen, but it may lag a bit

(this is also a useful approach for other websites you want to cast)

With the Website Displayer cast app

  • Navigate to FirstLegoLeague CastDeck
  • Enter the url of the online version or your own version
  • Optionally adjust other parameters
  • Press cast

This approach loads the website from the chromecast directly. Any animation is much more responsive here. However, there is no direct way to interact with the website.

(this is also a useful approach for other websites you want to cast)

With the integrated cast module

  • Make sure the cast module is activated in the config
  • Open the control window (press c)
  • Press the cast button
