Describe the bug
When you're entering text in an email field, you cannot long press a letter to get the @ symbol. Only the dedicated @ symbol at bottom of the keyboard is usable.

To Reproduce

  1. Go to any form that has an email only field
  2. Select email field
  3. Long press the correct letter (a for English) that corresponds to the @ symbol
  4. Only that letter will show up as selectable, not the @ symbol

Expected behavior
@ symbol should show up and be selectable

You have to disable the "Remove redundant popups" setting (in Preferences settings).

BTW I don't understand why this setting has been implemented... I don't understand its usefulness...

In any case, this will solve your issue.

Interesting, good find thanks. I agree that is an odd "feature" to have been added. At the very least it shouldn't be enabled by default

I agree.
I would add that the description of this setting should be more detailed.

I agree. It should be disabled by default.

I was about to raise a bug until I discovered that this setting was causing the popup to not work.
