Maturin has offered some new workflow definitions. I've adapted many of the changes into our existing workflows, while keeping some of the important original functionality.
One nice change is the migration away from manylinux, so we'll see how this pans out in the long run.

One nice change is the migration away from manylinux, so we'll see how
this pans out in the long run.
Maturing currently can't auto-detect python 3.13 from the environment in
the v1 release. Until that change has been added to v1, or a future
release, we need to switch directly to the main branch.

Right now maturin can't properly pick up the python versions from
pyproject.toml so we instead have to be explicit.
