Traffic Junction

Description

Culminating assignment in highschool tech class. Task was to make a traffic juntion using one arduino and LED's. Junction had to include an input sensor in the traffic intersection and a way to control the traffic lights from behind the scenes. Because this was during covid, we made it virtually in TinkerCAD.

This is my traffic junction. It includes:

  -red, yellow, green lights on each side

  -an advanced green on each side

  -a white and orange LED on each side to represent pedestrian signals

  -a button on each side for pedestrians to press signal to the lights to change (the lights will change slower if the button is not pressed)

  -motion sensors to detect if a car is at the intersection (the lights will change slower if a car is not detected)

  -a potentiometer to adjust the lights timings


I made this all by myself! (However I did watch tutorials on how to use 8-bit shift register and transistors)
