Persistence

All species/groups in the model must persist through the last 40 years of the model run. Persistence is defined as a 10% of initial biomass.
Box level persistence is a loose criterion simply because some species move inside the model, some species migrate outside of the model domain, and therefore may not be present in some boxes for large parts of the year.
Species/groups that are prescribed an initial (box level) biomass > 0 are expected to retain a proportion of that biomass for some part of the year.
