Solarized Facebook

You can apply Solarized (dark) color scheme on Facebook with this Extension.

Get it from Add-ons for Firefox or Microsoft Edge Add-ons Store.

How to install on Google Chrome

• First download all files from GitHub. Click on Code and there will be an option to Download ZIP. Or click on this link to direct download.

• Extract the ZIP to your preferred location.

• Open Chrome. Visit chrome://extensions. Or goto Chrome Settings using three dots on the top right corner, then goto Extensions. (Goto edge://extensions/ for Microsoft Edge)

• Now, Enable Developer mode.

• Click on Load Unpacked and select the folder you previously extracted.

• Goto Facebook & Bob's your uncle.

• Enjoy Solarized color scheme on Facebook.

Default Dark Mode of Facebook must be kept Turned ON. (Account -> Display & Accessibility -> Dark mode -> [On])

Known Issues

This extension is not properly effective on Facebook Settings & Help Center page. (These pages are not dark mode friendly by default from Facebook)

  100%. This extension totally depends on CSS only. So there is no privacy or safety threat.

• Should I keep the extracted folder after installing the extension?

  Yes, you should keep all files. Otherwise there might be problem with the extension.
