A few days ago:

Update - I’ve gotten quite sick this week so will almost certainly be splitting this sprint up, or maybe converting it into a 2-week sprint (I would prefer to split it up, though). Will discuss in a meeting tomorrow hopefully. Regardless, the second sprint (or week, depending on my choice above) will likely include one or two additional scope increases so that progress is not severely halted.

So we got some stuff done and drawn out, not 100% shabby.

Original goal runsheet:
The basic goal for this sprint/epic is that users will have worlds (both exo & Earth) that are now changeable based on their contributions and actions…the landscape is no longer static. As well as some bug fixes and adding more options for the BioStations

✅ = Definite goal for this sprint/epic
⏱️ = Possible goal, or fine to be pushed back

Simple goals:

Users can see their additions to the planet and apply them ✅

Annotation for upload feature ⏱️

Milestones for all project groups ✅

Different views/scenes ✅

Planet generator to have more organic, lush-adjacent terrain. Lush terrain to be generated when biomass > 0.

SSM-90 - allow users to replicate their real life situation on "Earth" ⏱️

All surveyor & optional/additional values to be added ( #SSC-75 ) ✅

Comment tree

Marking comments as preferred

Form for all values

Automatons now communicate with the backend ⏱️

Mining modal has been toggled off with AllAutomatons - so let's archive this. Plus a modal for satellites...ideas? - #Archive #ArchivedComponents

Biomass scores - proper definitions for on planet/only the user, plus a narrative for building on Earth ✅

Calculation for all variables in terrariums, including from 'additions' or 'child anomalies'

My locations - toggle for showing other users' locations ✅

Maybe post card, like an actual post card, for the terrarium view ✅

Review notes from both notebooks (4th Feb) ✅

SSG-113 bug ✅

New landing page and public area ✅

JVH selector & mars, Jupiter generators ✅

Bug with modal size & annotation ✅

Fix bug with binned images not displaying temp ✅

Should show tutorial for finding period and planet type (based on period/temp)

Fix bug where temp can only be calculated for terrestrial - updating Planet Picker to show all options

Fix preferred bug

More anomalies ⏱️

#PlanetGenerator steps:

Basic mould & overall #planetTypes

Liquid solvent

Atmosphere, storms and surface texture

Full customisation (within reason/gentle limitations)

So we're somewhere around Step 3, which is where the customisation really begins. I think we'll suggest that the value calculator is a good compromise, provided we also get the liquid generator worked in somewhere.

Goals beyond the scope of this sprint (next week [possible] tickets marked with ⏱️):

Also, we need to figure out how the Planet Generator can be improved to be 1) properly procedural, 2) have its segments/sections (e.g. atmosphere/mesh) properly defined and separated

Full terrarium view

More projects -

Earth meteorology events, earth soil (upload)

Bio

Creating your earth terrarium(s)

Sunspots ⏱️

Disk Detective

Are we alone (eventually)

AI Integrations (especially for upload) ⏱️?

Structure creation, research tree ⏱️?

Reason for asteroid...this includes #Mining mega mechanic

Automaton attachments/levels (and a levelling/customisation schema for structures as well)

Achievements system from milestones ⏱️

Structure grid & layout customisation

Improving speed/reducing latency ⏱️
