Thanks for the report.
In order to investigate we will need a file. Set Cura up, force the failed slice, and then use the "Help | Export file for Technical Support" command. Zip that 3mf file and post the zip folder directly here (not via email). It will have a project file and your Cura.log file inside.

I downloaded the file and sliced it with 5.8.1 and 5.9.0. I'm unable to duplicate the problem.
Maybe digging deeper will give a clue. Use the "Help | Show Configuration Folder" command and zip the cura.log file and post the zip folder here.
This is in 5.8.1.
