Getting data
The datasets used in this study are public-access. Bellow, we indicate the original website where you can apply to have access to the dataset.
In our study, the UK Biobank (https://www.ukbiobank.ac.uk/) was the most difficult one to get access. It required to register at their system (http://www.ukbiobank.ac.uk/register-apply/), describe our project, indicate the resources that we would like to access, pay for access, and then download the data.
The ADNI datasets and the AIBL are available at the Image and Data Archive powered by LONI (https://ida.loni.usc.edu/#.jsp). To get access to the data, it is necessary register in the system, and apply to access the datasets. The access is free and the request form just requires personal info and a small description of the project.
After get the access the the datasets, the images of the ADNI study were selected by using the 'MP-RAGE' and 'Sag IR-SPGR' in the Image Description field in the Advanced Image Search tab for the ADNI GO study. For the ADNI 2, we used the 'MPRAGE', and 'Accelerated Sag IR-SPGR' key words. For the ADNI 3, we used 'Accelerated Sagittal MPRAGE'. Finally, for the AIBL we used the 'MPRAGE ADNI confirmed' text as Image Description.
To make easier to replicate our results, we made available the IMAGE_ID of the used scans at the supplementary materials.
The Oasis dataset is available at https://www.oasis-brains.org/.
The MIRIAD dataset is available at https://www.ucl.ac.uk/drc/research/methods/minimal-interval-resonance-imaging-alzheimers-disease-miriad.
We get access to TOMC dataset by contacting the PI from the http://www.arwibo.it
