look like the timezone api is for server side (if you want to apply referer restrictions).

switch to full js api https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/geocoding
let the user select the timezone (with the current tz as a default)
add autocomplete: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/places-autocomplete-addressform ?
