Pi Wallet

What is the Pi Wallet?

  • A non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet for the Pi Network.
  • Your public address is used for transactions, while your passphrase (a series of legible words) acts as your secret key for authorization.
  • Pi servers never access your passphrase.
  • Offers optional biometric authentication (face/fingerprint) for convenient passphrase access on supported devices.
  • Can generate addresses on multiple blockchains, managing different crypto assets with the same passphrase (currently focused on Pi assets).

Key Features

  • Mainnet/Testnet Switching: Effortlessly toggle between the Pi Mainnet (for real Pi) and Pi Testnet (for testing purposes) within a single wallet.
  • Personal Wallet Creation:
    • Requires successful KYC verification on the Pi Network.
    • Maintains a minimum balance for validity.
  • Testnet Faucet: Provides free Test Pi (test-π) for risk-free app testing. Note: Test Pi has NO VALUE and cannot be transferred to the Mainnet.
  • Developer Wallet (Coming Soon): Details to be added later.

Creating a Pi Wallet

  1. Open the Pi Browser and access the Pi Wallet.
  2. Follow the on-screen steps to create your wallet.

Important Notes

  • KYC Requirement: Mainnet wallet creation necessitates approved KYC status on the Pi Network.
  • Passphrase Security: Your passphrase is like your bank password. Keep it absolutely secret and secure!
