Regular freeze of UI

I don't understand why but I have some problems since one week when I use the last version of AngularJS-Eclipse plugin. The UI freeze regularly and I need to kill Eclipse and to restart it.

I notice that node process (not embedded node) take between 1 to 1,5 Go of memory. Maybe it's the real problem. Do you have the same problem or an idea to correct this behavior ?

I think you must just kill the node process.

What do you do? Open completion?

I will soon get last sources from tern.js, I hope that it will fix your problem.

The problem happens when I use autocomplete.
Maybe my project have to much JS file. In fact I use bower and npm to manage my project.

The next time it happens, I will kill only node process.

Perhaps, but the idea is to configure your script path only for the JS to parse. For instance you should avoid parsing angular.js lib because it's managed with JSON TYpe Definition.

I suggest you to set the scripts folder which contains the JS files to parse. But I suppose that your angularjs scripts are hosted inside too your scripts folder. today it's a problem, you cannot exclude JS folders with script path.

I have never used bower-( I cannot give you answer. Please explain me your idea.

You could use jstack command when US freezed. The stack trace would help to find a resoun of the freeze.

Just for information, I change a little bit my configuration for Tern and I remove parsing of angularjs file. It's a litlle bit better.

Ok, I suppose you had to change your script folders to avoid parsing Angular JS. I have created an issue to exclude some folder angelozerr/tern.java#150

Sorry, I can't share my project. Maybe I can create a similar project with less code.

Anyway, my idea about bower is to use informations contained in bower.json file. In fact, I think these informations are sufficient to add automatically JS files in Tern configuration.

I think a call with an example will help to explain.

Same problem here (on an ubuntu 14.04 mashine, nodejs v0.10.32 and eclipse 4.4.1 - was the same for ubuntu 13.10 and eclipse kepler)
Eclipse freezes on every autocompletion. NodeJs runs with 100% cpu usage and never stops.
Total count of files in project: 24,291
9,576 .js files
2,164 *.htm files

The only possibilities to work is to execute

$ watch -n 0,3 killall -9 node

, deactivate tern autocompletion or uninstall the plugin.

Non of this possibilities allows me to use the plugin.

Are you sure that you need to parse all those JS files? The idea is to parse only the usefull JS files. If it's a library like angular, jquery, thoses files must not be parsed.

Just had a closer look into my js files.
1725 in bower_components (libraries, angular services and directives I want autocompletion for)
361 in my project specific scripts directory
rest are node scripts I don't need autocompletion for and which are not included in tern.

I add some informations about my idea in the README.md I will add few more in the week.

I have not configure tern in this project. If you want I can enable it.
