FPS Limit

GAMES

In general to understand how PSP games works here some info:

• It's hard to make general config, each game has it's own way
• You need to make custom configs for each game need tweaks
• Some games designed for 60FPS they become slower if got limited
• It can be solved by some other tweaks
• Some games are heavy by design and cannot be fixed

UI & SPEED

• A new option called Quality Reduce increase it as much as you can it's very helpful
• 30FPS limit is disabled by default, enable it on demand for specific games.
• 30FPS and skip frames if enabled at once may have very good results
• But on some games may have very bad results, you need to choose based on test
• Some games got better speed on more skip frames 2~4
• Some games may have glitch if skip frames enabled, you can only limit 30FPS if possible or use cheats as below

CHEATS

• You can limit game FPS using it's cheats
• Check this link at PPSSPP forums for a lot of options
• Also this link has the same for another games

EMULATION

• When you enable 30FPS limit you may notice that speed will be as 200%
• This is normal, it works this way don't reduce it or increase it, keep it 200%
• If you enabled skip frames by 1 (default) + auto skip, you may see 20/30
• it means (30 target, 20 displayed)
• This is ok, auto skip will try to skip smoothly not by static number.

EXTRA

Freeze & Crash

In some cases GPU will not be able to process some graphics or will hang due to power limitation,

so it will freeze then crash

this happens randomly in some games.

You can solve that:

• Increase skip frames to 2
• Turn off Hardware transform

Note Hardware transform is very important for performance, you should keep it on, unless you have very annoying repeated crash.

FPS Limit Option

As mention above, use it in case skip frames causing problem

but in general skip frames should solve your problems

enabling both may result in bad behavior

Quality Reduce

I mentioned that above, but will say it again

increase this value as much possible,

it will help to reduce the heat and provide constant speed and less battery consuming.
