Dashboard
The Amber summary dashboard offers summary statistics on the Amber module. This dashboard helps the site administrator monitor disk space usage, how many sites have been captured, and how many sites are in the queue for capture. The summary dashboard also offers the opportunity to trigger certain actions within the Amber module, such as deleting captures or creating new ones.
These features are accessible through the Configuration panel (Tools -> Amber Dashboard).
Selecting this option will eliminate all stored captures from file. This is not a reversible process.
Amber can check all published pages and posts for links to capture and store. Clicking this button will scan all published content for outgoing links and add these links to the queue of future links to capture.
If the site administrator wishes to begin the capture and storage process instead of waiting for the process to automatically begin at a later time. Clicking this button will immediately begin the process of capturing all links in the queue to capture.
This allows you to export and download a file containing all information shown the detailed view of the Amber dashboard. This CSV file includes site-by-site information about whether or not a site is available, the date of the last check, the date of the most recent capture, the file size of the capture, the time stamp of the last view of the capture, total views, and any additional notes.
The Amber detailed dashboard shows site-by-site information about whether or not a site is available, the date of the last check, the date of the most recent capture, the file size of the capture, the time stamp of the last view of the capture, total views, and any additional notes. For example, if a site cannot be captured because of its robots.txt file, this will be noted in the "additional notes" column. The site admin also has the option to delete site captures or blacklist sites listed in the detailed report.
Amber also has a single option available in edit view, accessible in any page’s individual view.
This feature is accessible through the same page that the site administrator would visit to edit an article.
If the site administrator wishes to capture and store all links in a single published article or page, the administrator can "Edit" the article. "Cache links in this article now" will appear as an option. Selecting it will automatically scan all content on the page for outgoing links, and Amber will attempt to capture and store them all.
