The types are:
metabolite table, gene table, otu table, pathway table, function table, ortholog table, taxon table

The demand to use the table types seems low... closing for now

Can we reopen this?

Cross reference #903 about inconsistent checking that a table type is provided, and #756 asking for examples of the different types.

Sure, although these labels are still generic without a clear way (to me at least) on how to constrain the feature label space so I don't foresee an impact on validation
