update tests to use babel 6

working on getting the tests to pass now but they all exit with the error

Unexpected return value from visitor method function (path) {
        return fn.call(state, path, state);
      }

ok now we're getting some output but I've no idea if the output is correct. I need someone more familiar with the expected results
